Installation of Customer-Supplied Light Fixture (New Location)

 

Adding a new light fixture nearby? We’ll take care of the install. Whether you’re upgrading your space or improving lighting layout, Problem Solved Electric will professionally install your customer-supplied fixture at a new location within 10 feet of an existing one—safely, cleanly, and to code.

 

 

What’s Included:

– Safe shutoff and testing of the existing circuit

– Extension of wiring from an existing fixture or switch (up to 10 feet)

– Installation of a customer-provided light fixture at the new location

– Mounting to an existing or newly installed electrical box

– Proper wiring, grounding, and code-compliant connections

– Fixture testing to ensure proper operation

– Clean-up of the immediate workspace

 

 

Exclusions & Important Notes:

– Fixture must be supplied by the customer and ready for install

– Fixture must be fully assembled prior to installation (assembly time is not included in standard pricing)

– Work assumes accessible attic, basement, or open framing (finished walls/ceilings may require additional work)

– Minor patching, painting, or drywall repair is not included

– Pricing does not include customization of fixtures (e.g., modifying downrods, adapters, or mounting kits)

– Unsafe or outdated wiring (e.g., knob-and-tube, aluminum, ungrounded circuits) will not be used—any necessary upgrades will be quoted separately

– Junction boxes must be securely mounted and code-compliant

– If existing electrical issues are discovered (e.g., damaged wiring, improper splices), additional repair costs may apply

– Relocation or addition of switches is not included unless previously quoted

– Permits, if required, are not included unless arranged in advance
