Exterior GFCI Outlet with Weatherproof In-Use (Bubble) Cover – 15 or 20 Amp

This service includes the professional installation of a 15 or 20 amp GFCI-protected outlet on the exterior of your home or property, using a weather-resistant outlet, an exterior-rated electrical box, and a bubble-style in-use cover that keeps your outlet protected—even while something is plugged in.

The outlet is typically wired back-to-back from an existing indoor outlet on a general-use circuit, allowing for a clean, efficient install with minimal disruption to walls or surfaces.

What’s Included:

  • One (1) 15 or 20 amp weather-rated GFCI outlet

  • Exterior-rated electrical box with in-use (bubble) cover

  • Back-to-back wiring from a compliant indoor outlet

  • Caulking and weather-sealing around the box

  • Full GFCI testing and verification after install

Why the In-Use Cover Matters:

This cover allows devices to remain plugged in while keeping the outlet protected from rain, snow, and weather exposure, making it ideal for outdoor use. Safely power garden tools, outdoor lighting, EV chargers, or seasonal decorations with peace of mind.

Code Compliance Guarantee:

All work is completed by licensed electricians and fully complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) for outdoor electrical safety.

Important Notes:

  • No conduit runs, trenching, or digging are included

  • No circuit troubleshooting or repairs are included

  • Must be wired from an existing, accessible general-use indoor outlet

(Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and dedicated circuits cannot be used)

  • If no qualifying indoor circuit is available, a custom quote will be provided for additional work
